Entry Formalities

Passport.
A visitor to Malaysia should have valid passport or internationally valid travel document. Persons who don't have this document can apply for the document instead of passport or travel document –recognized by the Malaysian Govt.- at any Malaysian representative office abroad. Validity of document is for 6 months from the date of entry into Malaysia.

Visa
Foreign nationals must have formal visa to get an entry into Malaysia. For that one can apply at any Malaysian Representative Office abroad before entering the count
Malaysian Government issues three types of visas. Single Entry Visa : Valid for 3 months
Types of Visas Three (3) types of visas are issued by the Government to foreign nationals:Multiple Entry Visa Valid for 3 to 12 months, Transit Visa

Customs formalities
Dutiable and Non-Dutiable Goods
carpets, garments, clothing accessories, jewellery, chocolates, handbags, spirits, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and cigarettes. Visitors bringing in dutiable goods may have to pay a deposit for temporary importation, refundable on departure.

Health Regulations
All visitors to Malaysia should take yellow fever vaccination. Children under one year are exempted.
