PROGRAMME     : A DAY OF GOLF IN COLOMBO

PERIOD               : NOV 2018 – APRIL 2019

 

Leave the Pier at Colombo Port, preferably in the morning and proceed to Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC).  

Sri Lanka is relatively unknown in the field of Golf, but surprisingly the country has Four of the finest 18 hole courses in Asia. In fact the association with golf is more than a century and the Sri Lanka Amateur Golf Championship, which was instituted in the year 1891 follows the British Amateur Golf Championship, as the oldest national championship in the world.The Royal Colombo Golf course is 5’770m long (par 71).  A flat course with broad fairways, which looks simple to beginners but there are many water hazards and well guarded bunkers which quickly change the option.  The Royal Colombo Golf Club is easily accessible, being approx. 30 minutes drive from all first class hotels in the city.The Royal Golf Club in Colombo established in 1879 is one of the oldest in the world.  The 18 hole course is 5700 yards in length with broad tree lined fairways.  It is not as easy to play as it may seem from first impressions – it is possible to go into the water at every hole.

 

Return to the pier after a game of lof to remember. 

 

** Golf Club is open from 06.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m. & players can play anytime as they wish, subject to availability of the slots. It is always best to go there early as possible & have a compleate game of golf. Since these are not fixed tours, passenger can decide at his/her convenience & wish on the depature timing.

 

 

TIMED ITINERARY – 06 Hrs

 

0000 hrs Leave the Pier at Colombo Port & transfer to Royal Colombo Golf Club.    

0045 hrs Arrive at Royal Colombo Golf Club & do registration, etc..    

0100 hrs Engage in a game of golf at the club. (have beverages, refreshments, meals, etc at guests own expense later).

0515 hrs Leave the club & drive back to Colombo Port.

0060 hrs Arrive at the pier Colombo Port.

 

Additional mandatory supplement for Green Fees during Saturday, Sunday or on any Public Holidays – TBA  per game.

Hire of Golf Equipments (Equipment available for hire at the Golf Club) – Approx cost. Hire of Clubs – TBA per set & Hire of Balls – TBA  per ball.

THE ABOVE PRICE INCLUDES :

Return port transfers by an air-conditioned vehicle (01 – 02 pax in a Car & 03 pax in a Micro Van).

Services of an English speaking chauffeur guide to accompany pax during the transfers.

Green Fee for 01 round of Golf on a normal day / weekday.

Caddie Fee for 01 round of Golf on a normal day / weekday.

A 500ml water bottle per person on board the vehicle.

Golf equipment (Equipments available for hire at the Golf Club on direct payment basis).

Incidental expenses of a personal nature.
